German Shepherds are so powerful and strong. Usually associated with authority and protection. I started out this expression with a real strong rigid posture. Then added in layers of warmth, color and grit to unleash the beauty of the soul of the shepherd. I still wanted to maintain the strength of the posture, at the same time soften him up by scratching and scraping on top and around his contour to express his gentle side.
